Holger Sassmannshausen Professionally known as Ras Martin born on the 25th of November 1963 in Hagen Germany, Raised into music his father owned a club and arranged festivals in Switzerland for such artists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, and was very close friends with Alexis Korner.

Having all these tools at his palms Ras Martin was lifted into the music scene and first learned how to play drums at the age of eighteen then guitar, keyboards also bass aged twenty-two, inspired by Bob Marley he went into singing and did his first performance in Berlin Germany 1985 aged twenty-two, then in 1986 he opened for Dennis Brown then went on to do two performances with the artist Pablo Moses, after this in 1993 the musician from Bob Marley, Aston Barrett has and still does make tracks with Ras Martin.

Since then Ras Martin has worked with many artists from around the world on and off the stage, his most recent single and an album is with Aston Barrett and the Wailers.
